Welcome to the Freak Nation Website
Freak Nation was started as a role play group on a forum for people that loved Marvel and wanted to play out their favorite characters in the movie setting. With a strong urge to keep things grounded in our own world and giving characters a chance to develop in ways that we haven't seen in the movies and maybe not even in the comics. Like most roleplay groups members have come and gone, but a strong core of talented and imaginative writers and hard working staff we have been able to keep going strong with new plots and ideas that involve every member that wishes to join on in. Currently most players have split off into six main groups and each has their own smaller plots going on that interweave with larger story lines.
We are a new site here but we plan on getting a lot of information up here. Including pages for each of our characters, past plots written as story lines to read and browse, guest book, photo albums, and more. So feel free to look around check us out!
Spotlight
 Congratulations this month to our first Original Character for Spotlight! Sarah Ray Morgan! She's been a consistent player on the site and like many characters, finding a balance between the struggle of new powers, new life, and realistic play. She's made fast friends with a few students at Xavier's, even if there is a small age difference. Not a teen herself, and not required to take classes, she has still slowly worked to become not only a part of the group at Xavier's but a fixture. Her character struggles still to completely control and understand her powers and mutation that at first frightened her and shows glimpses of the thrill of exploration of what she can do. As a player, she's welcoming and playful. Happy to answer questions and help new members feel welcome. She's always up for posting with people, for plot or fun! Like her character, she's become a fixture of the site and we're thrilled to have her! |  If the cure doesn't kill you is a complicated thread. Taking place entirely in a new realm to the board, the astral plane. Where time and space seems to bend and warp. The thread spans the last half of the time skipped month in play up until the new posting has begun again. Beginning with Jean Grey's so far futile searches for her team member she saw killed, her hope had waned, until she pulls into the astral plane a very confused and still healing Logan. What happens from there are several conversations where we see Logan's mind getting sharper, remembering more, while Jean struggles with her own sanity. Information vital to the school's safety exchanged woven in with information from both their minds as their nightmares, dreams and memories shape the world around them. Reliving moments from their lives, but with new influence, it's a somewhat confusing, but oh so enlightening view into the minds of two characters. |

We're just getting started! Main page is up and slowly adding a page for plot stories and for characters. We'll be letting players join up and edit their own pages and journals if they'd like.

All right! Well we have new spotlight to check out, and activity check is about to end! So, that being said, we'll be putting up profiles of our case linked to their name on the cast page. Also, don't forget to check out our new forms for just talking about stuff, Marvel, life the site whatever! Anyone is welcome not just players!

So changes made! To simplify things we are using a wiki to get up information! So far it's looking pretty empty but editable by staff and members, we are hoping to get it filled up with not just information on our plots and world, but each character. We've been up and running consistently for just over six months! No resets, or revamps! That's quite a fete for a Marvel board! We have put up a new skin on the role play site, but were able to do so smoothly without taking down the site.
